The Community Manager is an Ambassador-like role where the successful candidate will represent Iversoft as a public facing employee online and at events, as well as manage Iversoft company social media accounts. This role also supports the management of some marketing client social media accounts. The Community Manager Role can be broken down into three main areas of responsibility; social media management; digital PR support, and events promotion and support. 

Responsibilities 

 

  • Social media content & engagement management
    • Create content for Iversoft and client accounts to help reach business goals; some to be created in advance, some to be created on-demand or live 
      • While we do have graphic design support the Community Manager is expected to create the majority of assets for social media content 
    • Monitor and respond to inbound mentions in brand specific voice in an effort to address the inquiry to the best of your ability and make the brand look as good as possible
    • Measure and report on performance, maintain CRM records related to Community Manager efforts  
    • Stay up to date on industry tools and trends
    • Monitor company and client competition and proactively implement or suggest ways we can outperform them 
    • Work closely with Marketing Strategists to ensure efforts align with and support business goals 
  • Digital PR support
    • Seek out and build relationships with influencers and journalists/reporters  
    • Liaise with influencers and reporters when we require their support 
    • Support and advocate for influencers and reporters to better develop and protect those relationships 
    • Effectively track and tag contacts and conversations 
  • Events promotion and support
    • Contribute event ideas (virtual, attending or hosting) and be able to tie suggestions to measurable outcomes  
    • Take ownership of planning and implementation where possible 
    • Write event promotional copy and manage/maintain event postings on social media and via other promotional avenues (email, media spots, event listings, etc) 
    • Provide pre, post and live event coverage and support at events with an aim to meet and exceed pre-defined measurable outcomes 
Requirements

 

  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
  • Extremely well organized
  • Superb time management skills
  • Experience with social media platforms for business use
  • Must be available to regularly attend events outside of core business hours 
  • Outgoing, positive personality that enjoys working with people online and in person 
  • Comfortable and savvy using a mobile device for photography, video and content creation 
  • Comfortable and savvy being "on-camera" 
  • Be analytical and have excellent problem-solving skills 
Nice to Haves

 

  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Experience with social ads 
  • Educational background in journalism, communications, english, public relations, marketing, business, advertising, or similar
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Customer service experience
  • Event planning experience

  • Familiar with Asana
  • Familiar with Sendible (or similar) 
  • Familiar with HubSpot (or similar) 
  • Familiar with DropBox
